    Push rods are stock and I believe the edelbrock guide are also to stock size. Pivot balls are also stock... And almost 45 yrs old.....

    Summit sells their brand roller rockers for $220.00 which is not a lot moe than good stamped steel ones. Anyone know if they're any good? Guys I really want to thank you for this... Not a lot go guys around here that know much about big blocks anymore. David

    should use a no groove ball like i posted a my second post but you going to shit can the steel stamped ones i not sure who makes summit could be off shore junk buy a name brand will not be much more like i told you to do back in the second post or what ever one it is.... its there

    Got it thanks, and your right they could be and probably are from china... I'll get a known brand like you suggested. Any comments or suggestions on what size cam ? Should i keep the one I have or send it back for something else? I just don't know if there's a lot more hp I can get out of a small 402 bb, but again your teaching me fast thanks,

    FYI, I just reread through all the old posts. And I apologize , I was thinking roller rockers the whole time. Didn't really realize the tread went back and forth between roller rockers and roller "tip" rockers. Was never considering the roller tip only option. I agree with what everyone has said about them. Sorry if I caused some confusion. David

    if not on you post or i did not see i need to know some things and i have some hyd roller cams i use stock shelf grinds and some custom hyd cams i use in the bbc builds and i have done many 396/402 bbc with hyd roller cams street use . i would need to know alot more about car use street hiway driving , only .street /strip gear . RPM. your at .tire size in rear Auto with stall or if a stick . what size carb. intake . EX headers ? . muffers ex tube size . and engine pistons CR is engine been zero deck ?

    would like to thank everyone, and especially Pat, for all the help. I think we've figured out what went wrong and how to address it. Now i need to save up some money to get the right parts to build the engine the correct way. I'll let everyone know how it comes out when I'm finished. Thanks again!! David
