Found a cam profile that will work for the '66 for street /strip. So where's the best deal ? Ebay is $150 for cam & lifters and $350 for the whole kit with springs , valve seals etc. Any suggestions ?
 Thanks !

Ask Pat and/or Jerry for a quote, they'll see this eventually.

And remember, you get what you pay for. If it seems like a deal that's to good to be true, it just may be!

Thanks Pat ! Much appreciated ! I don't mind spending more if there is a better brand to go with but I want to stay with a US product if possible. I won't be beating the crap out of it much so roller cam conversion etc. is out :-)

i can help you out with a Erson cam get them as i am a deal cam cores are usa parts but i will check in to the howards . roller cam is nothing to do with the use but more about trouble free use of engine . getting a flat lifter cam to break in and many oils that do got have zinc in them the bbc have a history of eatting cams . but long as you know that is must fire right up use a break in oil with cam you may get luckyLast edited by pat mccarthy; 12-29-2012 at 11:49 AM. Thanks , Pat , and happy New year ! the heads are '68 427 closed chambers with a stamping of 3919840 - unshaved . The block is a '76 2 bolt in nice shape and I am pretty sure my valve stems are 3/8. I know the roller retro-fit set up would be much better but I don't have the resources ( $ ) for it :-)Nick
