thats easy the mark 4 heads GM heads are not a good fit on a mark 5or 6 block . after market heads will work on both engines as they added metal to seal the heads were stock mark 4 heads leak on a 5/6 block its not just head gaskets it is the lack of metal were it needs to seal near the intake valley just about any head made for a bbc will get you 400hp with some workLast edited by pat mccarthy; 08-05-2012 at 07:33 PM.
