Kodiak Marine 496
Howdy gang,
We salvaged a jet boat that got washed down the river during the last flood we had.
The engine has only 11 hours on the Hobbs meter. The boat was full of slit and mud --we took 60 buckets of crapola out just to be able to see the motor mounts.
We pressure washed the outside and then scattered the engine to clean the inside.
I found one exhaust valve bad so it will be replaced but everything else looks brand new.
Is there any good site to find all the torque specs to rebuild the engine?
We have a complete gasket set -- new head bolts and new rod bolts and nuts coming.
That is one heavy duty engine- we like the crank timing set up.
thanks
hank
