it does have torque to yield head bolts --can you tell me the proper way to do the head torque

I don't quite understand why we can't just replace the rod bolts -- there wasn't any problem with the rods before we just felt that it would be good insurance to replace them. I wasn't sure if the rod bolts were torque to yield like the heads bolts.

There must be a torque pattern for the intake manifold and the oil pan.

you press the bolts out of the rods .rods could move with new bolts going in . moving the caps and most time the new bolts need to be fitted . if rods are out of spec then they get re built i have done many sets and most every time with new bolts.why do you need new rods bolts any ways if your not checking housing bore size on them? if this his a 454 4.310 bore with a 4.250 crank in it .all tq paterns of head s would be the same as 396to 454 .QT if new gm 496 then its all in a motor s book
