Hello, 85SuperChev, I have the Chevy by the numbers books. If you give me any casting numbers from your block, heads, or what not, I can give you the year and model vehicle it came from. I have a 70 402 in my 68 SS Camaro. Well, it isn't in there as we speak, but, it is all over the garage and the car is an empty shell. If you wish I'll run the numbers if you post them here. My books only run, 55 thru 75 so those are the only years I can assist you with. From what my book reads, the 402 was only produced for 3 years 1970 to 1972. Sorry can't help you with the tranny or rear end, but they all have casting numbers, and you can ask here, or "google" them and I am sure you'll get an answer!
