If this is more or less a stock motor, that combo will work fine idle to 5500 rpm's. If you have done any work at all to the motor or installed a cam that is over stock, you would be better served with an Edelbrock RPM or Weiand Stealth intake (1500-6500). The taller carb mounting pad adds length to the runners and a straighter shot at the head ports. The high-rise is good for about 40 hp over the low-rise Performer on my software dyno.

    Intake combo

Better late than never, but an Edelbrock spreadbore performer rpm with a jet stage 2 quadrajet is an awsome setup.
The moment somebody says to me, "This is very risky," is the moment it becomes attractive to me.

I love it when a good plan comes together.
