Timming Issue?
I cant get the timing on my 1997 chevy suburban. Does this have to be done at a shop with use of a computer?Last edited by Tony Miller; 06-08-2010 at 11:56 AM.

Just talked to someone and the distributor has to be set on 1 and TDC. Then you must use a scan tool to set it correctly. Another $75 out the window!

Timming is now set. New plugs, wires and batteries (yes two of the $94.00) things. But, it's running smooth and no more noise. Lifters just needed pumped up more then it got quiet. Some new shocks, maybe removing stuffy converters and it's all done for 2-3 years. Then the real fun starts!
