    Blower Question

I am currently looking at a complete BBC with an 871 weiand blower. I am going to try and have it running on a stand so I can hear it run, but I have never had a blower motor before and the guy says the blower has new seals and teflon. Besides taking it apart is there something I can do to make sure the blower is good or things to check for?
    thanks
    Scott

You can look at the rotors thru the carb mounting flanges for obvious gouges or damage. Make sure it turns freely by hand with no binding. Be careful when bolting it up to the manifold, tighten it evenly using a torque wrench. Make sure the front gear case has lube.....
    and fire it up!
