I'm looking at building a 600+ hp, 461ci BBC. That'll be a 4.310" bore w/a 4" stroke. I want 11.0:1 compression, Hyd.Tappet cam with lots of lift, Alum heads w/ 325cc int runner, Tall single plane, Holley 950, Elec water pump.

Anyone have tips and suggestions that'll help me with my build, I'm not real familiar w/ BBC's so i'm trying to educate myself. I want good solid build that will be reliable on the street and strong enough to thrash at the track. Money is an issue, as always and i'm planning on collecting pieces over time.

Behind the motor will be a 69 chev C-10 w/ a 700R4 and 3.9's w/ 10.5" wide tires.

There Is No Replacement For Displacement.
