no... it would not you can drill and tap it to 9/16 bolt and drill the washer. the thrust only controls the back and forth of the crank and under a load and keeps the crank riding on the brearings and stops the counter weights from hittting the bulk heads of the block .damper is press on so it bettter not wobble and is on the front of the crank if bad it could in time beat the brearing out . not the thrust. .your fly wheel or trans is more at fault of a bad thrust or all things i listed
to much load on thrust . to loose to start with? bad machine work? beating the thrust out? and every thing on other post not the crank damper bolt

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
