Oil Pan volume
What would be the oil capacity of a 78 suburban 454? The pan measures 8 1/4" deep from mounting flange to drain plug.

If is the stock pan and a 1/2 or 3/4 ton Suburban, capacity is 5.1 quarts plus filter - so six would be appropriate.
