I know this is purely my decision but Im looking to hear some voices out there, and some opinions.

Icar is a 66 Chevelle. Motor is 454 .030 over. Stock crank, truck rods with ARP Hardware. Pistons are TRW L2349 forged pistons. Compresion should be just at 10:1. Heads are 049 ovals with 2.19/1.88 SS valves, street strip port polish and flow quite well. intake is a Edelbrock RPM air Gap. Carb I have not decided but will most likely be approx 850 CFM mechanical secondary. Headers not purchased yet but will most likely be 1 7/8" primaries and 3" collectors. Transmission is a TH400 and will most likely run a 3000 stall. rear ratio will most likely be 3.73. Car will be 90% street, but not a daily drive ...just a car for fun, and of course want it to perform. Will add all necessary bolt on suspension necessities but will not tub or anything like that.

Ok lookng strongly at 3 different cams...2 solid flat tappet one hydraulic roller.

Cam #1 Solid Flat tappet

276/284
243/251@ .050
.568/.600 lift
110 LSA

Cam #2 Solid Flat Tappet
276/286
241/249 @ .050
590/610 lift
110 LSA

Cam #3 Hydraulic Roller
282/290
231/239
600/600
110LSA

I know the first 2 are close to identical and are same manufacturer. I just figured the Second one even though has a shorter duration by a tiny bit has a little higher lift #'s which Im under the impression the 781 and 049 heads like higher lift cams to breathe.

So any expereinced opinions are very welcomed and appretiated.

Thanks in advance for any replies
