    BBC header question

I use several different forums to get my car info and questions answered, but this question most definatly belongs here at Club Hotrod.

I have a 454 that I am putting in my Topolino street car I am building. The motor was driven into my shop and ran great. It had been recently built, some slight performance cam is evident in its lumpy idle. Removing the valve covers revealed roller rockers. Beyond this, I know nothing more about the motor.

I have installed an old Edelbrock tunnelram and a big holley(780 ? I think) carb on the motor.

I found thise headers for a great price. I will know in a couple days if they fit because the owner is going to bring them by the shop and we will be able to hold them to the motor as the motor is in the car.

    They are 2 3/8" tubes and a 4 1/2" collector.

The tubes are larger than I have been looking at.

Any opinions as to how well they will work? or wont work?

Thats what I am thinking. I am prepaired to build some that would fit but thats lots of time. Looking to finish the car (sometime before I am 90) so I have many other things to build that I cant buy.

Not to second guess anyone, but those look like whoever built them expanded the ends and slip fit them before welding. I don't think they're step headers?

Either way, at the weight of your Topolino, they won't hurt you at all.

i would bet they are two step headers that expanded joint just the way they hook the steps ups and is about at the right spot for the first step about 12 inch and make fit ups EZ and stronger joint .i do not have a Jeg's catalog at home but they look to me like dynatech stut style headers or roadster headers
