This question is kinda like when your wife asks, "Honey, does this dress make me look fat?" There are several answers and all could be wrong.

Then 454 has been made in a lot of different versions, i.e., camshaft profiles and timing, head configurations, compression ratios. They are available in 2 and four bolt main configurations. Stock horsepower ranges from 230 for some truck motors to the legendary 465 horse 1970 SS454 (you probably don't have one of those!)

Could you give a bit more detail? Do you have a 454 that you're working on or are you looking to build/buy one? Do you have a specific application in mind?
