On the one I have it's an extension of the counterweight on the 283.
I would assume that what you listed from ebay would work and it would be less expensive.Ken Thomas

Guys, thanks for the info; however I am still a little confused...I have
an alumunim 400 manual flywheel, and a 5 speed Doug Nash Manual
Trans, and was possibly thinking of putting the two together. If the
400 FW would work, would the front balancer also have to be changed.
