Recommendations for my 468?
Guys,
I have a '69 Nova with a 468 (Gen V block, stock), Merlin oval-port heads, a Weiand 177 blower (3 lbs boost), Comp Cams 286H, a Bill Mitchell Hardcore 870 carb (80 front, 87 rear), and Hooker Pro-comps going into 3.5" exhaust all the way out the back. TH400 and a 12-bolt with 4:10 gears.
Bottom line: I'm looking to tone the engine down a bit for the street, possibly even selling the blower to help redo the interior. I would like to get to a vacuum secondary carb rather than the double-pumper as well, and maybe move to a 3" exhaust to help quiet it down a little.
Would someone recommend an intake/carb solution that might work, and whether a cam change might be needed as well? I was going to scrap the whole motor and start fresh, but I'm wondering if I can't use what I have as a good starting point without spending too much money.
Thanks...Don't ride/drive faster than your Guardian Angel can fly...

You'll probably need 9.5:1 to 11.0:1 static compression ratio for that cam to work naturally aspirated. If your motor qualifies for the c.r., bolt on a RPM manifold with the BM 870.
