    Big block head help

I have a 427 69' camaro it's got edelbrock performer oval ports with semi open chambers and 10.7 comp. I want more and was thinking about11.5 to 12.5 to ones... but can I ??? Is there a company that makes these pistons ? Will these heads support that much comp ? The car see very little street time and I don't have a problem running race fuel, Thanks guys

J E SRP makes a endelbrock dome piston so they could make them$$ i would look more in to getting it out to 496 with a roller cam and pump fuel if looking for more punch .427 can run good i really do not know what you just abit more is ? do not think you will see much on one point for the add cost for the fuel and pistons

The car has been 10.20 with a two stage nitrous setup 150 first stage, 250 on second stage, I'd like it to go 10.50's or faster without the bottle. It has a hydraulic roller already, If I have to buy new heads I guess I can sell the old ones. I would hate to have to buy a new crank and rods, It already has a forged crank and h-beams. Is it really worth that much going to a 496?

The car has been 10.20's on a two stage 250 shot, well I would like to see it run around that fast with no power adders. It already has a roller cam and all the right parts to go fast I just wonder if these heads will let me go faster without the spray. I would really like to stay with the 427 only because a good chunk of money was spent on the rest of the bottom end and to have that stuff just sitting around would suck. Is the differance that great to move up to a 496 or 489 ?

yes your talking more CID like 69 more even one hp per cube69 hp more that is not hard to do more like a 100 hp over your build and the TQ would go up to it could be hard to get 10.20 even with your old parts on a 496 part s combo could be off for no shot on engine

that would be with a 496 and your head you can look it up on srp i do not think you can get that much with the 427 you would need a custom dome
