just hide a vacuum pump under the dash and plumb it into the vacuum tank. Use a regulator, make it read whatever you want it to read.....
Better try something, seriously doubt you'll get 16" of vacuum with the cam you mentioned......
Wan't that make too much noise and be detected? I am allowed to run open headers at some tracks so might not be caught on those.
I don't have any idea.... Never have had a desire to run anywhere that has a vacuum rule... But a strong vacuum signal is not an inherent quality of a solid roller high performance cam.....
I know very little about engine building and even less about cam specs but that grind is what the tech at Howards recommended for my application
I raised it last week to 1500 rpm to pull the required 16''. Thank goodness they did not check the tach or no $ brought home.
Well, what cam do you have in it now? If this is bigger, more duration, more overlap, etc.... I doubt it will make more vacuum.......
He said it would pull but still a little worried after reading the posts. Hate to spend the money and still have problems with a new motor.
This is for a new bb build for 2nd truck. Currently running 400sb with unkown cam specs. Plan was to stroke it to 406 but thing just keeps winning as is
It takes a ton of abuse. Stock bottom end with mild cam when I bought it in 3/07. I changed to Vortec heads with big valves ,Air gap intake and 750 Demon and it can sling the mud off those 44" tires. Just looking to step up to a bb to run more classes
