I was very fortunate (and that's an unusual situation at my house).

I answered an ad that said "'76 De Ville, $500, needs work". I called and talked to a nice lady who assured me that it would start and run but it wasn't inspected or licensed. I thanked her and said I'd consider it. About three weeks later my phone rang and a guy introduced himself as "Diane's husband". I said "Do I know you, sir?"

......Scared the devil out of me .....

Then he added "Oh, excuse me, you called about the Cadillac".

    ......Big sigh of relief ......

He said "If you want the SOB come and get it". I told him I was interested but I didn't have five hundred. He said "Who mentioned money. If you want the SOB come and get it". I told him I was on the way.

It was terrible. I could see that he very much wanted that wreckage off of his property. Every fender on it was damaged and it smelled like it had been used for a dog house. That didn't bother me because all I wanted was the engine and TH400. The engine and transmission turned out to be in surprisingly good shape.

I took the rest of the heap to the crusher and they gave me $95 for it.

That's a good article, Tango. It was what got me seriously considering going with a Cadillac.

tango, I think I'd be very cautious about suggesting that others practice infringing on copyright laws.

I also wanted to mention, that if you put something perticular in, you will also get from google, many club hotrod pages that show up on a google search. A lot of them are from archives. Which is available through that.
Aw, Denny, How can you be so unkind?

My lovely wife just came in here and asked me "What are you grinning at and what's all the giggling about?"
