    366 big block

I've been doing a search on the 366 chevy BB engine. All of the info I've found so far on this subject is about using 366 for high performance. That's understandable, this is a hot rod forum... My question is I've come across a school buss that is going to be turned into a river camp "camper". Is this a reliable engine. I don't much about big blocks I've always been a small block fan. Any info or links on this subject would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Brett

there are many 366 truck engines they have the smallest bore of all the big blocks a good engine and like all the chevy big block are a tough engine. some like the 366 tall deck and some like the 427 talldeck better in stock form .the 427 tall deck is the block that can be made to a 526 cid so this is the one that gets used for a hp build up

In your bus it will be great. The 366 has all the strength of a big block, with power output more like a smallblock stocker, but with more bottom end. As a result they run forever.

Great truck motor.....................They don't rev, but in a truck, don't need to.
