First thought would be did you get the head gaskets on correctly. Next might be one of the new guides is not installed correctly. Pull the plugs and see if water is running out of a cylinder....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Big Block Guides are not the same O.D. on both ends and they do go thru the water jackets in the heads..

check the intake that it is not getting held up by bottoming out on the china walls if so this will need to be cut down on the bottom of the intake and check the intake for twist if it is get it cut. make sure the intake bolts are not to long and bottoming out before it draw downs the intake .if you have a lot of pits from rust you can use A B putty or J B weld fill pits up and sand flat then put a thin coat of rtv to help seal it when you get ready to put the in take down you may want to make sure that the water ports are not to big and past the gasket print seal this gets bigger in time and boats that get run in salt water they get very big .if the heads ever were used on a boat . this water port on over cut heads gets very thin on the bottom that may make it hard to seal the intake i had to weld the water ports back up so the gasket would seal Originally Posted by yenko ss Originally Posted by yenko ssIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
