may be too late for a post on this. the only diff on the sbc verses bbc is that the bridge that keeps the lifters straight is 90* off. I already tried this on a gen VI and the sbc roller would sit sideways on the cam

like i said the bowties or dog bones that hold the lifters are different .yes block blocks do have canted valves and that put s the lifters not on the same plane gm did this but ford did not

as long as it will not get out of the lifter bore and get exposed and the pushrod seat is in the same it will work

I bought the 76 in August , but haven't been able to work on it. When I get a chance I'll post some pictures.
