I just picked up a GEN VI block. I know the come with roller lifters stock and can see the bolt holes for the retainer tray. Can I use SBC lifters in a BBC? I have several high dollar sets of lifters from LT1/LS1 motors that I'm not using.

may be too late for a post on this. the only diff on the sbc verses bbc is that the bridge that keeps the lifters straight is 90* off. I already tried this on a gen VI and the sbc roller would sit sideways on the cam:CRY: :toocool: Jeff
like i said the bowties or dog bones that hold the lifters are different .yes block blocks do have canted valves and that put s the lifters not on the same plane gm did this but ford did not :DQuote:
