piston to head height (quench) should be 0.035-0.045"
If you have 0.055-0.075"
that should be adjusted before machining the head(s)had a rebuilt 355SB chevy
it lasted 42,000km
Got another rebuilt 355SB
it lasted 62km.
I still have not had a powerful engine.
