I'm looking to get a Chevy 350 block to rebuild

I'm looking to get a 350 block located around the DFW, Texas area. I want to purchase one in hopes of rebuilding it. Let me know what you have and how much you want for it.

check your local newspapers might be one locally that will less to buy plus no shipping costs. You could also check ebay or other auction sites.

Thanks. Hey, my 85 Corvette has an L-98 Tuned Port Injection 350 in it. Can you get any 350 small block and use it as a tuned port injection, or is the TPI engines a completely different block design?

You are sitting in one of the largest metro areas in the USA. There are literally thousands of available small block chevy engines within a few hours drive of you!! There are rebuilder's supply yards several places in the MetroPlex, look in the Yellow Pages. Go to an engine rebuilder and ask where you can buy an assembly. Go to your local automotive machine shop and ask. Go to your local speed shop and ask and put a "wanted" sign on their bulletin board.
Go to your local Chevy dealer and ask in the parts department and the service department...we just bought a complete LS1 long block for $100 (slightly broken). Find a smaller garage shop and ask. Find the junkyard row in Fort Worth and up near Sachse......do some leg work instead of asking others to do it for you!!!!

If past experience means anything, you aren't going to find one that suits you at the right price. If there is any item that is more plentiful than the 350 Chevy, I have yet to find it. Robot is right, you are preferring to sit at you computer and play this game rather than just buying an engine and getting on with it.

Like I said before, you played this same game with that old Chevy you were going to "build." How did that turn out? I bet you still haven't done one thing on it and that was a year ago.

You are playing games, pure and simple.

No, you are just PO's because I called a spade a spade. No one on here is opposed to helping someone out, but it is apparent you are not serious about this project. 350 Chevies are all over the place, and like Robot said, you are in a huge metropolitan area where you can find tons of them cheap. You are just posting to hear yourself talk.

I think it is an insult to every member on here for you to say no one has tried to help you save one. Go back an read all the suggestions members have given you on not only this subject, but also that white elephant 216 thread(s) you did a year ago. Every member on here who has responded to you has honestly tried to give you solid, correct info, but you simply don't want to hear it.

Time for you to grow up.

Check your local land fill or closest green box. 350 blocks are thrown away everyday. They are very plentiful, and I have not seen one that is has an outrageous price, as anyone who knows anything about hot rods, knows how plentiful they are.

there's a fairly large yard on Elliott Reeder Road, in fort worth that has $50 you-pull-it engines. or they did a few years ago, anyway. i went another way for mine but did consider it. if you have time to rebiuld it or are brave enough to run it as-is, that can be a sweet deal. for the ones they pulled already, the price was $200 or 250, iirc. still not bad if you find an lt1, ls1, or something like that out there.

we have some big swapmeets out here, too. my friend got a 5.3L chevy v8 for 200 bucks out at ameriquest field (man, that was a huuuuuge meet). they also have them at lagrave field and texas motor speedway, just to name a few.

    and, don't forget ebay.

Thanks, I've found several on Craigslist. But I will definitely check the place on Elliott Reeder Road. What's the name of the place?
