Awesome dave, got ahold of an old chiltons it for a 71-78 but every 366 spec for all years holds the same, mines a 82 so I hope it still holds true.
I found it says the Cam lobe lift is .234 no where near a half inch and Open is 220@1.40 Closed is 90@1.80
No this is where I turn to you guys now that I have hope its not already near the half inch mark and ask where can I go from the .234 and what are the pros and cons? Basicly the thing tops out at 60-65 going down the freeway and climbing hills in wyoming on the I-80 the thing can slow down to 25 miles an hour I dont want to change engines as this ones still got tons of life in her, I quick cam change might give me the little bit of uuumphhh I need to get over the hills faster but I dont want to harm the engine by putting in too big of a cam. Any cam experts out there that can give me some advice, now that were armed with its got a .234 lifted cam as of now... thanks so much guys...
