    bbc rectangular 188 casting heads

Hello I just got some bbc 188 casting heads and was just wondering what kind of plugs do these use.Do they use the 5/8 style plug without a gasket or do they require the 13/16 style with the aluminum gasket..thanks for any help

Are these heads stamped 14096188,if so they are rectangular ,open chamber 70-71 454 heads. Plugs for a 70 LS-6 from Advanced Auto or Auto -zone should work . Chevelle Malibu or Corvette. I like the Autolite Extreme Perf. plugs .I believe the part no. is XP-24. They are high quality plugs.

They are gonna be the plugs with the gasket if they are from 1970. They aren't the taper seat until later years.
