well i use scat BUT i had have two 4.3/4 cranks in the shop on the same table side by side one ohio and a cat .The same crank. one was not better than the other . did some 4.3/8 cranks two scat one ohio and one comp crank all the same forgeing and many 4.1/4 all the same . but the 8 plate ohios. so how can you say that one will not balance better than any ones else crank when they are the same?i have balance some of them and they do not all the time balance out with out some drill holes or a plug.i have used all the scat cranks they sell for a big block and used some ohio.s and some no names but were the same forge numbers .the quality is were who sell a good crank i have talk to cat they say they sell to some other crank companies and scat will tell you the same. i am not much for b.s and my mic dose not lie. cat is as good as any thing i have used. like i said there was some bad stuff but they lost big money . some tried fix them and sell them . and alot of cranks were sent back to the makers of the cranks in china. i have been told ?so after this they have been better ?so if some one had a bad time with one send it back i have done that. i have paid 1600 for a crank a was not happy with what i paid for.i could of got 3 china cranks for that and a bag of chips that is funny jonny o i have seen and heard more bad think about eagle?????? than cat and have used what i have posted on first hand?? so it is hard to say? who builds the best on a bad day? . but use what you want like said they are not 1600.+ cranks OH i would add this the machines that they make the cranks in china are as good if not better then machines to make cranks made here?? so it then is the steel??? alot of steel like many things are not made in the USA ? any more ?crower now is selling a import rod i am thinking china H beam that gets machine in the us?? yes the steel must be no good ? i have soild and used many of the china rods they work very good for the money
