different in performance per application.
If you want low-end torque and a strong midrange, then the tri-power is fine. That's why the General used it on the Rat in a heavy car.
If your needs are more performance-oriented, then your intake choices will be limited by the engine build. Is the engine better suited to take advantage of torque, or RPM, or flow?
Aftermarket suppliers have a wide variety of manifolds to suit nearly any application. Edelbrock seems to have the best selection and ample technical support.
If the Rat is in the open, like a traditional rod, then tri-power may be your best option to get "the look". You may sacrifice some hp for it, but in a rod, "the look" is the best part.Ensure that the path of least resistance is not you...
