    New Suggestions for a 454

We have a 1974 camaro with muncie 4 speed and 3.73 gears. We have a BB 454 (2 bolt main)with about 2500 miles on it that we are building for the car. It has flat top pistons (L2377 F) .030 over. It has a cast crank, stock rods, looks to be arp bolts. Were going to run 781 heads that we got with the motor, but instead recently purchased an excellent set of heads (casting number 3872702) 98cc. With this set-up, now considering running with a Edlebrock Performer RPM Intake and a Comp Cams XE284H. Have emailed Comp Cams for advice; however, was posting here hoping for some CAM and intake input. If anyone is running a similar combination please let me know what CAM and intake is working for you. Will be a street/strip application.

We did get some good information on the first post; however, we have changed the heads (casting number 3872702) 98cc. Am assuming, with this change, there should be a chnage in the cr and; therefore, open up other possibilities for cam and intake selection.
