88 454
just picked up 88 454 4 bolt with 2 sets of heads 3993820 and the stock heads. is this a good engine to build for my truck or is an older block better? thanks

no sell the block to me. ha ha all big blocks are good. i have used all the gm blocks long as you keep the hp down. on that block you can run hp 700 thru it all day longIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

hey thanks for the info, i have had dozens of 2 bolt 454s this being my first 4 bolt .besides the 93 blocks, all being 4 bolts,being as im in canada prob a lot for shipping any way lolOriginally posted by pat mccarthy
