Edelbrock
Thinking about a new intake manifold . What is the difference between the Edelbrock Performer R.P.M. and the Edelbrock R.P.M. Air gap , I realize the Air Gap has a space to keep thing's cooler from oil heat but will my Holley electric choke work o.k. without a heat riser passage. Should I go with the R.P.M. so my electric choke will work properly, or will the aluminum manifold conduct enough heat where the crossover won't matter anyway?

I have the performer. I also keep my rpms low. I did add a riser to my combination, for the torque value.
Your electric choke should go right on as it uses a timed dielectric spring to open and keep the choke open.
I think you will do well with the peformer.

R.P.M.
I like the R.P.M. and I think I will go with it I don't think I need the extra cooling of the air gap . The 454 is very cold blooded anyway.I like the heat crossover's so the engine can warm up quickly.
