Gasket Replacement
Hey everyone! I have yet another question I need answered. I need to get a gasket set to put my 496 together. On ebay there is a bunch of complete sets listed. I know I would need to get seperate gaskets for my headers, but the kits come with stock replacement gaskets. Are these accetable for head gaskets on a high perf, street/strip motor? If not what is the best most complete kit to get and where? Thanks alot.
Oh yea and a quick side question that I think I already know but would like confirmation, you can not use gears from a 12 bolt truck rearend in a pass 12 bolt, correct?

Re: Gasket Replacement
A lot of it depends on what heads you have, and how much compression you have. For most street cars I would think the Fel Pro #1009 would work fine. You can order both the racing intake gaskets in both oval and rect. port and racing head gaskets seperate if you want to..Originally posted by 66lemans
