yes the engine will have to come a part and see how much it will need. the piston and rod will have to come out and i do not know how you could do is with out taking it apart so at is point wash it up and look it over good if it is a fresh engine new bore and new piston cam chain oilpump then i would look it over good and check it out with a bore gage and hone it out .the part of the bore to look at is 1 to 2 from the top if this is mess up then it will need to be bore or sleeved as for the crank look at the rod bearings if the bearing look like it has bad patterns on it not even a cross the middle of the top of the bearing face,then it will need new bearings. you did not tell me much on this engine is it stock a re ring or is it a fresh engine what type pistons how much cr
