O.K fellows I appreciate all the info and hope you keep it coming. I built a few 454's but I don't think any of them ever reached near the 500 mark,I had 1 perticular one in a 71 sb chevy truck with 350th drove on the street every day.the track we have here is an 1/8 mi. and the best time I ever turned with this truck was 8.40, I don't know that is in 1/4mi times,but this truck was no slug. This 72 chevelle I have now has the same gears as the truck and is probably about 1500ibs lighter I would like to turn at least low to mid 7's in the 1/8 with this car if that helps any. thanks, WJR
