I'd also look for either a double gaskget, or a defective mounting surface.

Pull the filter and make sure there's not a gaskget stuck to the block (you wont be the first one this has happened to).

THe filter gaskget sits in a recess in the filter and they are almost impossible to blow out.

If you had a Hi oil pressure problem, it would most likely ballon the filter rather than blowing the gaskget out.
