    Rusty,
(I was typing as you posted your last message) In today's market I believe that you can buy a finished car cheaper than you can build from scratch, but by putting the "all steel" restriction on it you are narrowing your playing field a lot and that may not be true, especially in the '32 to '34 year range. If you're looking for that "too good to be true" deal it's not going to come to you on a platter, IMO.

Just saying that the guys with Henry's original steel know what they've got, and anyone that bought new aftermarket steel laid out some big $$$ for it. You'll stand a lot better chance finding a "deal" in the '28-'31 range but the cars got a little bigger inside each year. Your best bet, IMO, is to go to all the shows you can swing and keep your eyes open for deals, ready to pay cash money. You're not that far from Austin, and there are lots of very cool rides in that part of Texas. I'd visit some of the established rod shops in Austin & San Antonio and put out the word you're looking...

Rusty,I know where you are coming from. True Austin has a lot of Henry's but as stated at a price. When I was looking to start a build in 2005 I was set on a steel body, after waiting and waiting for the deal of a life time I caved in and went with a glass. Regrets none. I think I would still be waiting for the deal,of course if money is not an issue ebay is a god place to start, plus the above mentioned sites.

Well, there is always Brookville or SAR for the '32-'34. Of course there are still many '30-'31 bodies available, but since the rod rags are starting to push them as a replacement for the '32, the prices HAVE started to go up.
