Looking for dad's old '32 Plymouth Coupe! Help!
Hi, Randy here. I'm in a serious mid-life crisis and am trying to find the street rod I grew up with. Am looking for a '32 Plymouth coupe. Car was sold by my brother in 1974 and I've only seen it once since then. Car is (or was) a black '32 Plymouth coupe with a 392 Hemi (might have been a 354) in it with six Strombergs on a Man-o-fire intake. Car had gold leaf on it, some really tacky coach-like taillights and the interior was gold velour when last seen (hey, it was 1974!) Car was featured in several magazines back in early 1970s, Rod Action did a feature on it called it "Velvet Dandy." The coupe was still intact and in Pennsylvania about ten years ago. Saw it at a show there needing help. Since I had seven cars and had just remarried, it wasn't time to get it back. Will give an non-vital body part to get the car back now. If anyone out there knows what became of this car, please e-mail me or call me direct. Thanks much and God bless.
