well there are reasons for shoosing the ford and reasons for choosing the chevy the ford i have has a front sump oil pan and will have clearence issues. and i already have a 283 that i just built and a jag xke tranny and rear end for the car i also already have the adaptor plate to adapt the jag tranny to the chevy so it would be cheaper for me to use a chevy and i am a GM man
