I know what you mean, aint it one of the best post you have ever read on here. Thanks for the read.
No dont be Sorry I really do like this tread. I also like reading about your build. My frame is at show me rod and customs right now having the body built. I cant wait to go get it. ( like a kid going on his first date). So more interior talk LMAO
Interesting thread. I like all of the pics of the beautiful work. Great job guys!!
I didn't do the install, there aren't any door handles or anything.
Here's what I ended up doing. Not too too bad for a first door ever.

There's a couple of bubbles in the picture I ended up heat gun-ing out.
We used a marine quality vinyl, 1/8" plywood, and 1/4" closed cell foam.
The chrome pieces were salvaged off another Rambler. They have little brad-like nails on the inside that twist up in the closed cell foam. Not easy. The piece kept slipping off the line and bending... it took a while and one wasted door panel to get it right.
Here's the seat that it went with:

We used the original foam to save costs. I think next time, I'll just replace it. I think it looks a little too broken in.
Thanks to everyone who posted. It's nice to see where I'm headed, one step at a time. It's also really great to be able to talk to you all. I am grateful for the tips. :)
