Most common are Muncie 4-spds, they were the factory trans, second is the Borg-Warner Super T-10. (Same as Richmond). A direct replacement.

I installed a T56 on one car with 450 horse. It has the best of both worlds. It has 4 gears for the track, and then another two for the highway with a double O/D. It is a six speed and can handle 650 ft lbs of of the good stuff!
Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

t56's are pretty pricey though. i might end up gettin a m21 or an m20 and swappin in some m22 gears. or maybe get a muncie case and built up an m22. i haven't seen many if any t-10's around.
