I'm having an issue just now, I was sent a non-lockup torque converter for my 700R4 and it slips unless I'm on the throttle hard. It took no less than four calls to Summit's tech line before I was able to fugue out the right questions to ask to rectify the issue. In hindsight, it is pretty simple. Just needed a lockup with smaller stall.
My question is, what is the application for a non lockup converter?
I believe you sacrifice a couple hundred RPM's less slipping and less heat, supposedly... as I have done this to my Tranny, the lock-up kept giving me a jerky shift when locking up, plus having issues with heat in the tranny.Quote:

Update: they actually did send a lockup converter, but it wasn't properly wired, and the stall was too high. It's straight now, I have a 2400 stall, and the B&M control box.
