Thanks nothing like going to the store with parts numbers... They have a sigh over the counter that reads"The wrong information will Guarantee the wrong part every time"
found NAPA # 1-3999 ordered it but don't know what material it is... No big deal if it's not right they can send back. The # you gave me is no longer avaliable. I'm leting it drip so I can work under there with out an oil bath lol
Got a few extra minuites and pulled the valve body All spools are free all springs good. I will clean it up in the morning got it soaking in Mineral sperits.
Well took it all apart found nothing wrong, dirty, or missing. Figured I'd change yokes while I had it apart . Parts store had to order U joint won't get it till Monday. So I guess I'll work on the 57.
Pat anyother sugestions??
try it with the drive shaft off ? rear brakes hanging up .bad valve body gasket ?
OK After puting everything back together I did try it without the drive shaft. It worked like it was suposed to????? The brakes can't be the problem it rolls and it would kill the engine at stop signs anyway... When I get the new U joing monday I'll try it again... maybe there was something in the valve body but everything seemed clean.
well you never know small chunk of something in there . or maybe it just wanted you to give it a bath :)
OK :D you called it right Pat Thanks :3dSMILE::3dSMILE: Put new U joints in put Drive Shaft in and it works just like it should...... Must have been somthing in the valve body ?? I love it when things work the way they are suposed to. ;) Thanks again
