Transmition Work
I know this would be hard to nail down, because of the different areas we all live in, but what on average do you think I would pay to have a 350 turbo overhauled?

Re: Transmition Work
You can buy a remanufactured Th-350 in Summit for $649.00. So, I would say something less than that or it wouldn't be worth getting it rebuildt, you could just buy the Summit trans.Originally posted by DanMoore80

Thanks for the info. I'm hearing the same thing from alot of guys around here, that most places will not guarentee their work unless the trans is in the car. So looks like I will end up spending a bit more $$$ no problem though...will be worth it when I'm done

Speaking of transmission work, what would be involved in getting a turbo 350 to survive in a 6050 lb gvwr truck with 400+ lbs of torque?

Ok, so just get one of them performance rebuild kits off Summit. Truck came with a cooler, so I'm set there. Thats good to know, I'll budget a little over $200 in parts for the tranny.

Make sure all the old parts like the used tranny cooler gets flushed reeaaal good, so tranny filings don't come back to ruin your rebuild.Originally posted by 76GMC1500
