Hello,

I recently traded for a Ford 302 that is out of a Ford Fairmont Futura. I was told it was a 1979, all I can find is reference to 1980 and 1981 model years for the Futura. Anyway, it has an automatic transmission on it and I want to use a manual transmission. Will a 1979-1993 Mustang transmission bolt up directly. I know very little about Fords, are the 1979-1993 Mustang transmissions T5's? World-class T5's? I hope to put this into a car intended to compete in SCCA autocross events.
