trying to ID trans so I can order T/C. there is a tag on the side rivited to trans above rivit the number 275 below rivit the numbers GD-68-63566

a turbo 400 and a turbo 350 will accept the same convertor if i ammember corectly if that`s what you`re asking

Know what I'm after iswhat 400 do I have and can the speed o be made mechanical? can the kick down be changed??? or if not where should the switch make at WOT or before. Its my understanding it will mess up the trans if switch is not used?? Thanks

you can re program the valve body for no auto shift . you will not hurt the 400 with the kick down left un hook you just have to down shift it your self .do not buy the b&m reprogram kit you will not like it well i did not . street strip plate take the wave plates out of the clutch packs make sure you have the big front drum more clutchs the better and use a screen filter that about all you need for mild use. i have had the full manual rev valve bodys on the steet for 30 years no up shift or down no gear braking full line psi have two and like them shift when you want to the next gear . on stalls the 350 and 400 will take the same pump hub you can swap them they fit
