Anybody know if they use the same rear spline? Rear mount locations the same? Overall length? Buddy has a pretty weak 350 and found a 400 with next to no miles and wants to swap.

400 is longer and uses a different yoke.
It's not a bolt in, but in most cases it's a fairly easy swap.

Some of the O.E.M. 350/400 vehicles had multi cross member hole locations on the frame to move back the tranny cross member and mount.
just started doing the same swap. so far so good
Went from turbo 350 to a turbo 400. Frame was already drilled for both so just moved the crossmember back 6 inches to the other holes.
If yours isn't drilled it's a very simple fix.:LOL::LOL:
