This may have been covered before, but I can't find it in search. I have a B/W T5 tranny from a '91 chevy S-10. I have determined that it has an electric plug-in for an electronic speedometer.
First question is---Do I need some sort of a device between the two or is it just a plug-and-play? I don't have anything from the original truck other than the transmission. I'll need to buy an electronic after market speedo.
Next question---I've read about converting these to a cable output. How is this accomplished?
Thanks in advance.Too old to work, Too poor to quit.

Both Autometer and VDO Electronic Speedos should be able to connect to the sending unit on your trans.

Conversion aside, you need to consider a correction for different gear ratios so the speedo reads right.Good Bye
