I am currently in the final stages of my 1931 Coupe build. I fired it up today for the first time to check things out. Two problems arose. One is gonna be a real pain. My tranny (700r4) appears to be leaking from the converter seal. It throws a small misry line on the ground with fluid and then leaves a medium puddle (size of a fist) in the ground when it sits. I have no problem pulling the tranny and putting a new seal in it, the problem is the car is completely redone and the paint and body work is extensive. I fear I may hurt something. I was hoping someone may have some ideas how this happened. The tranny is brand new but has been sitting since last October. Is this a problem that is caused by the seal drying out? Overfilling? Is there a chance it will go away if I run the car for a while? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for everyones help and cruise on.
